Native designed and controlled public charter schools and Friends, will share their educational practices and accomplishments among themselves and with other Indigenous educators, parents and interested stakeholders. By sharing strategies for success, such as “EA-Education with Aloha,” this conference supports all native communities to create quality culturally-driven schools and programs that empower native students to walk successfully in all worlds.
This year’s conference is being planned in collaboration with the Native Hawaiian Education Council (Youth Legislation), Ke Ea Hawai’i-HFPCS Statewide Student Council leaders and the Innovative Schools Network. The three-days will encompass presentations and workshops focused on: Best Practices, Early Education, Culture Curriculum, Teacher Education, College & Career Preparation, Indigenous Assessment, Native Language, Legislation, Advocacy, Youth Leadership and student performances. The third day, will be set aside for individual school visits!
