Aloha Kanu 'Ohana,
KANU is extending our spring break through March 27, 2020 for all students.
Governor Ige just announced the extended spring break through March 27 for all Hawai'i State Department of Education schools and Public Charter Schools during a recent press conference. This will allow school staff to work together during these four additional days (3/23, 3/24, 3/25 & 3/27) to plan for continued closure and/or implementation of social distancing within the school setting, arrange professional development to support any modified operations, as well as thoroughly continuing to clean our school campus.
Mahalo nui for your understanding. The safety, health and wellbeing of our students, staff, and all 'ohana is our priority.
Because COVID-19 updates remain very fluid, we will update you with any new school information as decisions are made.
**Kumu/Staff, we will be in touch with more information about any possible work/planning/PD days during week two (3/23, 3/24, 3/25 & 3/27), after we receive more information from the HIDOE, the Charter Commission, and meet as a Leadership Team in the next couple of days.
Please be safe, follow social distancing guidelines, and follow the updates through state/national/world news and the CDC.
