As of today November 6, at 2:30 P.M. the confirmed COVID-19 cases within the Kanu o ka ʻĀina ʻohana remain at two, and there are no additional positive cases. Additionally, the individuals who have been identified as “close contacts” by DOH have all received negative COVID results. The Hawaii State Department of Health remains the lead agency in terms of notifying individuals who are possibly exposed. If you have any concerns, please consult with your health care provider.

The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) provides the parent(s)/guardian(s) of a public school student, the right to know the professional qualifications of the classroom kumu and if the child is provided services by paraprofessionals and if so, their qualifications. Federal law allows you to ask for specific information about your child’s classroom kumu and paraprofessional(s). It requires us to give you this information promptly upon request.
